This song took more than a decade to manifest. This song's surrealistic lyrics and haunting verse melodies were born from a whiskey-fueled dream about a non-sensical conversation in a dark western bar after an ordinary night out in 2010. Luckily, the dreamer woke up with enough sense to realize the potential of this little dream diddy and immediately recorded what he remembered into his iPhone while in bed. Initial drafts of a fuller song with a chorus and bridge were soon written and recorded in the hopes of something sticking, but nothing ever did. Frustrated, the dreamer dropped the diddy and moved on with life...

Fast forward ten years later, and the dreamer woke again from a dream, floating among white, snow-capped mountains with a curious melody blaring in the sky. It was a dream that felt vaguely familiar. Drifting back into consciousness, the dreamer realized it was the continuation of that conversation from that dark Western bar. It was the same dream -- only a proper chorus was born this time. La Cita jams on this concept soon and then ensues, where the song is fully fleshed out and elevated into its current form.

Like most things, finding meaning, connecting the dots, and looking forward are hardly natural. Sometimes, a dream doesn't end when you wake up; sometimes, it takes more than 10 years to complete a feeling. But looking back, this song is heavily influenced by a love of Spaghetti Western movies and dancing to cumbia music in dark bars.
