"Ode To Those We Met Along The Way" is a piece of original poetry, inspired by all of the real life connections that I made with digital friends while in Miami for Art Basel in 2022. I wanted to share to everyone that I met how special I felt all these connections are & should be to all of us; and the best way I felt I had to express that was through my art.

This piece was digitally handwritten by Kevin DeAngelis on top of a live photo captured using my iPad after bouldering out onto the breakwater at the Southern tip of South Beach. The photo was taken out past the where South Beach Pier ends, looking over the breakwater, and back towards South Beach & Miami Beach as a whole. Captured Saturday 12/3/22 ~1:30 pm.

The 1/1 Photograph (as well as the corresponding IP rights to the photo) minted to my "Degen Photography" Collection was given away via a random draw on Christmas Day (12/25/22) to one of the collectors (won by Jenna Dixon) as a small act of performance art & social experiment.

A message to new friends and old ones too
An ode to those we met along the way
A special gift using an art "Thank You!"
The most prized grail within my collection
You may be surprised is not crypto art
But all these unique real life connections
We'll meet again, I feel it in my heart
To those we met along the way; au revoir!
