"Dumplings rather than flowers", a Japanese proverb which means to value substance over style, practicality over the aesthetic. The meaning of that proverb inspires this artwork, but instead of picking between dumplings and flowers, I wanted to show that we could enjoy both. Feast on the sweet and savory taste of dumplings, and admire the wonderful sight of bright summer flowers in bloom.
