We stopped by the Museo de Antioquia to check out some of the statues by world-renowned Colombian artist Fernando Botero. While appreciating the art, a quirky but sweet old man came up to us and asked where we were from and if were enjoying Colombia. As we talked about our travels, our photography, and where our photography has taken us, he mentioned that some of his family lives in Miami. We joked around and asked if he would ever want to live in Miami, and he swiftly said no, telling us how he couldn’t picture himself anywhere but in Colombia.
“Send Me Your Location” is an ever-expanding body of work that takes viewers on a global journey, mapping the experiences of New York-based artist Christopher “Raptographer” Ayala through his travel and street photography.
From back alleys in Tokyo, to the hills of Medellín, to the rolling plains of the American West, “SMYL” creates an immersive, educational experience that lets one feel the grit and vibrancy of the world without ever leaving home.
This expandable collection will be updated as Chris continues his travels around the globe.
