This is a vision received in the mycelial realm. This experience called Sarah is but a blink. A window of opportunity to take magnificent shapes while in freefall from womb to tomb.
Each VideoPainting is a blink within the blink – a single chance to leave a mark. Once the switch is flipped, all that remains is what got left on tape. I make the most of it… while I can!

VideoPaintings are a signature art style by artist Sarah Zucker / @thesarahshow.
VideoPaintings are figurative visions channeled through a vintage 1991 Sony Video Painter – a device yearned for since childhood. Each piece is painstakingly crafted in a single sitting, as the device has no save function, infused with original digital animation and enhanced through analog video processing.
The resulting composition represents that which is able to be captured on VHS tape, never to be accessible for additions or edits again.
This style has been in constant evolution since 2015. The VideoPaintings contract was launched December 2022.
