This scene from Acadia National Park is a memory that will stay with me for a long time. The golden glow of the setting sun cast a warm light over the entire area. The Bass Harbor Lighthouse stood among the ragged rocks, evergreen trees and crashing waves. It has been a symbol of guidance, comfort and resolve for over 150 years since it's construction in 1858. As I watched the sun crest over the horizon, it was a moment of reflection for me. It was a moment of peace and beauty after a year filled with personal doubt and uncertainty. I took this image to capture that feeling, as a reminder to keep pushing forward. To keep striving for growth even during the most challenging of times. The Lighthouse in this instance was a beacon of inspiration for my creative journey and navigating whatever may lie ahead.
