Luke and Cheeta stand guard outside and prepare the detonator, while the rest enter the cave. Rhodes and Reese place the first charges near the entrance. John and TJ, wearing night vision goggles and carrying backpacks full of explosives, venture deeper inside. The two survivors reach the designated points on the map, sneaking past sleeping Kimeras, eggs in nests, and piles of Amber. They manage to place all the charges without making too much noise.

After doing so, they head back to the cave entrance where Rhodes and Reese await them. John inadvertently steps on a Kimera's tail, waking it up. The creature emits a powerful sound that echoes throughout the entire cave. John and TJ hurry out, pursued by the beasts. In the meantime, Rhodes tries to slow down the pursuers by firing his trusty rifle. One of the monsters, with a huge hooked tentacle, grabs Reese by the leg. However, Rhodes, with unerring aim, shoots the attacker and frees the general.

John runs fast and is almost at the exit but gets overwhelmed by the fury of a Kimera. Reese signals to him, gets into position, and waits for the Kimera to expose itself just outside the entrance. Before the Kimera can reach John, Reese strikes a powerful blow with his katana, splitting its head in two.

Luke, seeing the group about to exit in the distance, prepares to detonate the explosives. Reese and TJ haven't managed to reach a safe distance yet, but the terrifying cries of the horde grow louder and louder. They're coming, and Luke can't wait any longer. He detonates the charges, causing the entire cave to collapse. Reese is thrown by the blast wave.

There is great chaos, and as soon as the smoke clears, John, picking himself up from the ground, checks that the others are still intact. Fortunately, the group has made it out alive, with only a few bruises, and everything seems to have gone according to plan. After an initial moment of disbelief, the group gives in to collective exultation. It's time to return to the bunker and share the good news with the other companions!

The Dragons escort the heroes back to their shelter and thank them for their deeds. The Kimera threat seems to have been neutralized. A semblance of peace returns to the Bunker, and finally, all the survivors can enjoy a night of celebration.

Tomorrow will be a new day, and there will be more survivors to welcome.

Meanwhile, in the acidic lake… the water's surface begins to quiver, betraying the presence of something hidden beneath. The lake holds secrets, veiled within its toxic depths, waiting to unfold. The heroes, engrossed in their well-deserved celebrations, remain blissfully unaware of the quiet stirrings in the lake. Though they've destroyed the Kimeras' cave, the world they inhabit remains ever-changing, and unknown challenges could lie ahead, ready to test their resilience in the days to come.
