Tybee Island, Georgia, is one of the barrier islands on the east coast of the United States.
I had one of those evenings that is the reason I love photography. Spending the last of a day’s light at the beach, looking at reflections, smelling the salt, analyzing the lines and patterns of the waves, playing with long exposures.
You know what always makes me smile inside? Cleaning the sand and salt off my tripod when I get home. (What a geek!)

My way of life is a little different than most.
In 2011, I gave up my career in software development for a new life as a nomadic photographer. For over 10 years I have been living in an RV and travelling North America searching for good and beautiful things.
Some people thought I was crazy for giving up a good career. Others thought I was brave. For me, it felt like the only option that was right and good.
I am living my life — my way.
And now I’m sharing my most beautiful moments with you.
