Since this beginning of this year, I’ve been living in the new me. The new me that has had time to heal, grow spiritually, mature emotionally, and feel on a deeper level that I didn’t know a man could feel. Prayer and therapy have beyond good to me.

On the week of February 6th, I was set to experience some of the most emotional moments of my life and I had no clue. Moments that would seem regular to someone else. These were good emotional moments on the way, of course.

On Thursday, February 10th I would release my Genesis NFT alongside some friends (virtually). A special moment for me because I truly enjoy my tribe and doing great things with them. These aren’t people I just release music with. These are close friends who I love and care for deeply. We brought our lifestyle of intentional community to the Blockchain.

On Friday, February 11th I would celebrate my Birthday with my close family. Me, my mother, my wife, my sister, and her boyfriend all went out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants. Dinner was great but the conversation and laughter was food for the soul.

On Saturday, February 12th I would celebrate my Birthday with my close friends. We played games, drank, ate good and just enjoyed each other’s company. During our time, my wife called for a toast to acknowledge me. I didn’t have many words…which is different for me in moments like those. Just, “thank you all for coming through. I love you all, salud!” I went to bed late that night not only warm and tipsy but my soul’s cup was filled to the brim.

That week is what birthed me writing and producing this song. All the moments I described may be normal to other people, especially on the week of one’s birthday. But I felt the love on such a DEEPER level than ever before because of my healing experience.

All the healing I had been doing allowed my cup to be overflowed with a level of love I never felt before.
