In August 2022, I embarked on adventure beyond the black stump and into Australia's heartland, witnessing an extraordinary flooding event not seen in over 100 years.

Venturing beyond the Black Stump, or otherwise called the middle of nowhere, was the destination my adventure into the unknown led me to. The historic flood made the journey even more thrilling and questionable.

It's not a path frequented by many, but the path less travelled is one I embrace fully. To see the wild and untamed parts of Australia and the world is where my camera points me towards.

Robert Downie and I, fueled by curiosity and a bit of bravado, navigated the 40+ hour drive without major incidents, becoming one of a select few to document this rare natural marvel.
