Reaching its peak on May 5th, May's Flower Moon is a full moon that derives its name from the blooming of flowers during this time of year, particularly the flowers of the mayflower plant. The May Flower Moon is also sometimes known as the Full Corn Planting Moon, as it traditionally marked the time when corn was planted in North America.
