With the video loop NFT Megapixel I'd like to take you into my secret world of thoughts. This work is a metaphor about the insignificance or even importance of the individual in our modern age. You know, as a photographer I stand in an analog space, like here in a fascinating landscape of Scotland. With the help of millions and millions of red-green-blue pixels of my high-resolution digital camera, I capture magical moments of this our real accustomed world for eternity via the sensor. Even though I do not artificially process or distort my color photographs, my everyday life takes place mainly in the digital world. I asked myself: What would happen when these anonymous building blocks of virtual reality manage to free itself from the camera and escape back into space. What's the impact? Missing one pixel is virtually impossible to locate among millions and millions of others due to the practical insignificance of the "individual" pixel. Sad? Normal? Real?
