1/1 Edition.
When I first saw this magical tree growing out of a cliff in Scotland, I immediately imagined this scene portraying Mother Nature's caring hand in human form; tending to the earth, sharing a gentle energy, helping nature to blossom and grow. I used a green dress to match myself to nature as closely as possible - a colour that I find represents a calm, caring presence.
The first day I found this tree, this photo idea was planted in my mind - but the light was too harsh during the midday blue sky, so we came back the next morning... But, there were too many tourists shooting the tree at sunrise! So I decided to come back at midday on a cloudier day... and finally, on day three, there were a few clouds to create some softer light. I hiked up to this tree and was finally able to create and capture this scene that kept growing in my mind over those three days. I only hope I can do this tree justice with this image. What a unique and special place.
