Bomb Story: This iteration of Adam Bomb is a part of the larger ""Styles"" T-shirt design from The Hundreds Summer 2007. The graphic is an appropriation of the hairstyle option posters that hang in neighborhood barbershops. Adam's hairdos, however, reference the various subcultures and eras that speak to The Hundreds' inspirations. For some further background on this hairstyle, search up the lookbook and narrative behind The Hundreds' collaboration with Fila, and what Asian-American culture was like in '90s Southern California.| Background Story: The foundation of The Hundreds is streetwear, and at the foundation of streetwear is the graphic T-shirt. From our beginnings in the Fall of 2003, The Hundreds has relied on the tubular, open-ended cotton of a boxy, blank as our canvas. This is the same T-shirt that Bobby and Ben wore growing up, mixing and matching them 3 for $10 at the local swap meets. The independent skate brands of the 1990s, the streetwear brands of the early 2000s, all co-signed the same cut. Even when the clothing industry chased ringspun apparel or fashion silhouettes, The Hundreds held to the inspirational baseline. Our solid backgrounds are hues from the original swatch card that we built the brand off of.
