"Put a Bird on it"
Day #51/366
Dlawr: Photo a Day
To be honest, after I discovered I could digitally collage I wanted to make every image in this series a collage. It was easy. Just walk out and collect things with my camera and piece them into Photoshop. However, my "Photo A Day" project in part exists to find beauty in what is naturally around us. And while collages are cool I think sometimes we have to really push ourselves.
So, today, even though it felt difficult I went outside and was determined to find a unique image. There's a spot by Lake Ivanhoe that I've passed literally 1000's of times. But today I saw something different. I noticed a statue that looked like the Statue of Liberty. Immediately after I noticed a bird was resting on her crown. It's like the universe set it up for me.
It's honestly a reminder that what we want and need in life will reveal itself. You've just gotta step out there. Put one foot in front of the other and believe for the best.
This image is called "Put a Bird on It"
My name is David. I am a portrait photographer from Orlando, Fl.
This project is a continuation of a series I started in 2022.
For all of 2024, I will be making and minting one photo a day for an entire year. It will be a mix of portraits, candids, and day-to-day life as I see it.
Unless otherwise noted, all images will be shot on my Canon Mark Iv and edited in Lightroom. All are minted on a custom Manifold contract. I've put my heart into this and hope you will enjoy it.
