Dlawr: Photo a Day
I was driving home tonight and hit traffic. A standstill. I was worried about getting home. I needed to eat. I needed to do fifty other things. I took this photo while my car was stopped. I told myself it wasn't intricate enough. I was reminded that a huge part of my photo-a-day project was to simply document the day-to-day.
Who can't relate w/ getting stuck in traffic?
Why can't that be art? In fact, I honestly think it is.
The big and beautiful stuff is cool, but what about the smaller moments? What about when we are sitting in the car and looking up at the light above us? What about those moments?
My name is David. I am a portrait photographer from Orlando, Fl.
This project is a continuation of a series I started in 2022.
For all of 2024, I will be making and minting one photo a day for an entire year. It will be a mix of portraits, candids, and day-to-day life as I see it.
Unless otherwise noted, all images will be shot on my Canon Mark Iv and edited in Lightroom. All are minted on a custom Manifold contract. I've put my heart into this and hope you will enjoy it.
