Dlawr: Photo a Day
"Do Not Enter" the sign said. I passed by and wondered what was on the other side. A yellow shopping cart sticking out from behind a tree caught my eye. I had to check it out.
The lot was empty and overgrown. A mix of trees, grass, and concrete. I didn't know if anyone was back there. I felt my spine tingle as I waited for someone to yell, "Hey, get out!" But nothing, just me and the shopping carts.
I wondered who had been here before me. Was this someone's home? A future construction site? Land waiting to be sold? I may never know.
My name is David. I am a portrait photographer from Orlando, Fl.
This project is a continuation of a series I started in 2022.
For all of 2024, I will be making and minting one photo a day for an entire year. It will be a mix of portraits, candids, and day-to-day life as I see it.
Unless otherwise noted, all images will be shot on my Canon Mark Iv and edited in Lightroom. All are minted on a custom Manifold contract. I've put my heart into this and hope you will enjoy it.
