"Stop Cone-ing Around!"
Day #38/366
Dlawr: Photo a Day 2024
Today I slept in. I felt tired. My girlfriend said I slept like a rock. I meditated. I went to therapy. I ran errands and took my overalls to the tailor. She told me they were too expensive to repair and then I said goodbye to them. If you know me at all you know I've worn them regularly for years, so it was kind of a big deal.
It made me wonder how often we carry things past their prime.
From there I went to the hardware store to pick up some organization bins. But before I went in I decided to walk down Colonial and try and find my photo of the day. It took a while. Nothing stuck out and I started to wonder, "When will it come?" After a while, I saw these cones. They were by themselves in a parking lot meant for student drivers. I clicked away. What beauty there can be in the mundane!
My name is David. I am a portrait photographer from Orlando, Fl.
This project is a continuation of a series I started in 2022.
For all of 2024, I will be making and minting one photo a day for an entire year. It will be a mix of portraits, candids, and day-to-day life as I see it.
Unless otherwise noted, all images will be shot on my Canon Mark Iv and edited in Lightroom. All are minted on a custom Manifold contract. I've put my heart into this and hope you will enjoy it.
