"Always Find The Light"
Day #35/366
Dlawr: Photo a Day 2024
A mentor of mine once said to me, "If you see light, take the photo." It's a bit unrelated or maybe it's the same. But, if you see light, follow it.
And if you're in darkness, make it. Write down the shit that's good in your life. Maybe it's just one thing, but pull out the pen and get to work.
I grew up super poor; my mom and I often went to food banks. Her car was always breaking down. My dad was also in a very similar spot. I could go on, but the point is; that no matter how much wealth or success I accumulate, my brain still tells me I don't have enough or I'm going to run out.
So, on most days I try and write my wins.
"A client paid their invoice."
"I paid my rent today!"
"Someone bought my coffee!"
It's all about accumulating wins and daily reminding myself that life is full of abundance.
This is "Finding the light".
It is everywhere if you look for it.
My name is David. I am a portrait photographer from Orlando, Fl.
This project is a continuation of a series I started in 2022.
For all of 2024, I will be making and minting one photo a day for an entire year. It will be a mix of portraits, candids, and day-to-day life as I see it.
Unless otherwise noted, all images will be shot on my Canon Mark Iv and edited in Lightroom. All are minted on a custom Manifold contract. I've put my heart into this and hope you will enjoy it.
