"Girls, Girls, Girls"
Day #34/366
Dlawr: Photo a Day 2024
Watching the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials today was absolutely bonkers. The ladies in particular took it to a whole other level. Fiona O'keefe came in first place with her first-ever attempt at a marathon. On top of that, she is only 25 and broke the record for the youngest woman to win an Olympic Trials Marathon.
Running without a doubt is my favorite sport. It's something that anyone can do. You simply go out the door and go at it. There isn't gatekeeping and it's completely free.
Seeing the way the woman competed today was unlike anything. Most of the guys looked as if they were on vacation, while it seemed like the girls were running for their lives. In a world dominated by men, I hope we see more of this. The energy was electric and I'm just excited to have witnessed mere moments of the whole day. To anyone who has even the smallest of dreams, this day is for you!
My name is David. I am a portrait photographer from Orlando, Fl.
This project is a continuation of a series I started in 2022.
For all of 2024, I will be making and minting one photo a day for an entire year. It will be a mix of portraits, candids, and day-to-day life as I see it.
Unless otherwise noted, all images will be shot on my Canon Mark Iv and edited in Lightroom. All are minted on a custom Manifold contract. I've put my heart into this and hope you will enjoy it.
