You know, the best part of being a photographer is that your captures become your voice. Even the most vulnerable, unnoticeable, obscure feelings start to retaliate despite their tied tongues.

Let us talk about this one. I believe that history has enough proof to establish that our society has always been inclined toward patriarchy and womankind has mostly been exploited. But let's have a moment here and clarify patriarchy. For me, patriarchy doesn't only refer to the rigorous unjust ways of men but also to women who try to take down their kind. But history is mysterious too. Each fall is associated with a great rise.

I believe women are the mother of creation and the respect they deserve has no limitations. No it's not feminism that I am indicating but equity. Being an admirer of art, I think the female kind contributes to its beauty.

Through this snap, I wanted to communicate the strength a woman holds - their unique strength of survival, unique instincts of protection. I have heard many saying that women are always dependent on men. Is that so? I mean isn't it the other way round? Men confide in women because they trust they can. This side of feminine care and warmth is unparalleled. So how can we just tag them as a synonym of weakness?

Females signify a great variance of emotions - motherly care to sensuality. The world needs them to procreate. And yet history evidenced patriarchy and feminine exploitation.

Presenting “The Trail of Artemis” - a voice against the notion that "womankind is weak". Let all women be as strong and free as Artemis herself, let them hunt their respect - let them break shackles, let them spread wings; let them be the fire that illuminates mankind.

Amour de Grey collection image

“Amour de Grey” – an unconditional love with Grey's monotony.

Welcome to my winter collection - an ensemble of 7 moods, all set against the backdrop of grey.

Now, as you may know, Grey represents a somewhat negative sentiment, a mood that does not exactly expound happiness but monotony or gloom. But for me, “Amour de Grey” is a challenge because it withholds 7 different moods of grey and tries to break all those orthodoxies about this beautiful mid-tone.

“Amour de Grey” minutely tries to showcase the poetic meaning of winter - the struggles, the confusions, the cold, and the clouded diversions we often come across in reality. But winter is also cozy. Winter promises a new spring and likewise this collection hints at new beginnings - the daily struggle coming to an end with positive hopes.

Also, “Amour de Grey” is a case study of the rural life of the people of Northeast India - their daily chores and their efforts to advance each day. Even amidst their hardship, their brave endeavours are what inspired me to launch this collection. I want to share it worldwide to give this "view of life" a universal platform, for people to know about them, for people to share their enthusiasm.

Also, all the snaps are titled uniquely with mythological references to certain emotions that these pictures hold. I hope your journey through “Amour de Grey” removes the grey sorrows your heart holds and places a refreshing introspection instead.
