Moving forward? What is that? Does moving forward signify forgetting all that we leave back? I guess not.

Moving forward is a journey of healing while selectively carrying all the good parts. It doesn't matter what "vehicle" you choose for this journey, what's important is you are not standing still.

Through this snap, I wanted to send a message to all those broken hearts who are struggling with this stagnation in life. You have to stop at standing points but it's momentary because life will only be more beautiful when you explore new horizons. So many people, in so many ways, are broken but they still are living, because the art of life lies in being alive fully.

On a cold winter morning, the man on the cycle is struggling; the man in the other vehicle is also doing his part of the job. Now, you must wonder what I am hinting at. It’s simple... I am trying to say that your life is not only yours. Your life is shared territory amongst many hearts and minds. On this cold morning, this auto driver will pick a passenger who will be thankful for him to come by. The cycle man will collect jaggery and sell it which later will bring happiness to so many people who will savour its sweetness. Will they thank him? No, not in person. But somewhere this man will be a reason and part of their happiness and that's the message I want to share.

Presenting “The Monomyth” from “Amour de Grey”.

I named it after Joseph Campbell’s famous work “The Monomyth” or “The Hero’s Journey” as it examines the stages of the hero who goes on an adventure, faces a crisis and wins, and then returns victorious.

What I actually want to establish with this title is that you are not alone... you are in a continuous development on your own, and that you are someone's reason to be happy today and for days to come and this journey is beautiful. Just enjoy it and when you will look back you will find your path was adorned with small crowned jewels of your own.

Amour de Grey collection image

“Amour de Grey” – an unconditional love with Grey's monotony.

Welcome to my winter collection - an ensemble of 7 moods, all set against the backdrop of grey.

Now, as you may know, Grey represents a somewhat negative sentiment, a mood that does not exactly expound happiness but monotony or gloom. But for me, “Amour de Grey” is a challenge because it withholds 7 different moods of grey and tries to break all those orthodoxies about this beautiful mid-tone.

“Amour de Grey” minutely tries to showcase the poetic meaning of winter - the struggles, the confusions, the cold, and the clouded diversions we often come across in reality. But winter is also cozy. Winter promises a new spring and likewise this collection hints at new beginnings - the daily struggle coming to an end with positive hopes.

Also, “Amour de Grey” is a case study of the rural life of the people of Northeast India - their daily chores and their efforts to advance each day. Even amidst their hardship, their brave endeavours are what inspired me to launch this collection. I want to share it worldwide to give this "view of life" a universal platform, for people to know about them, for people to share their enthusiasm.

Also, all the snaps are titled uniquely with mythological references to certain emotions that these pictures hold. I hope your journey through “Amour de Grey” removes the grey sorrows your heart holds and places a refreshing introspection instead.
