When former professional baseball player Matt Szczur joined the Be The Match Registry®, he never expected to get the call. But in 2010, he learned he was a match and donated blood stem cells to a young girl from Ukraine.

The art of philanthropy

A talented artist, Matt began selling his paintings and NFTs to help spread the word about the need for more blood stem cell donors and the funding required to help blood cancer patients get the life-saving transplant they need. Half of all proceeds from this collection will benefit the Be The Match Foundation® helping add more potential donors to the Be The Match Registry®, help patients with uninsured costs and fund life-saving research.
