It was a short and easy hike from the Artist Point parking lot to this overlook of Mount Baker back in 2018. I was setting up my tripod for a few quick snapshots when I realized that the clouds in the valley below were bubbling and roiling, almost like a cauldron full of something about to boil over. What was supposed to be a few seconds rest to catch my breath turned into a half hour of timelapse shooting! The result is, I think, quite dreamy...

Fast forward five years, and I'm knee deep in NFTs, wondering how to make a few seconds of timelapse even better. The answer: Music!

I composed the little piano ditty in the background (using Ableton Live), added some effects to it, and added it to Baker's Cauldron. In my mind, it changes the roiling cauldron to a peaceful moment in the North Cascades where the planet itself is simply taking a few breaths. This is the first video piece I've released that has my own music in it, but it won't be the last.
