My work looks to the future with geometric shapes that symbolize the people of the present and Joseon Dynasty (folk paintings) including fortune paintings. By applying the images of the fortune paintings with the wishes of people from the past to the present and the future in order to tell the story of coexistence and continuity and symbolize the change of dismantling and reconstruction. I would like to address the topic of what transcends time and space at a time when the distinction between space and dimension becomes more ambiguous and when the things in the time are melted. This work aspires to eternal ideals through reinterpretation of the peony, which overlaps with the desires contained in the bookshelves of folk painting and high-rise buildings, and has a symbol of wealth and glory. This work longs for eternal ideals through the reinterpretation of the peony, which has the symbol of wealth and desire that represent us as high-rise buildings.
