Chapter 2: Why must we die?
Life is a cycle, in a certain way from the moment we are born we run a path against the clock. No matter how long it takes, death always catches up with us. Death seems to be a shared fate, shared with all living things on this planet and even shared with the stars. They too are born, grow, give life (like the sun to all of us) and after a certain time, they die.
But is death the end of life? When a star collapses, it really just transforms.
It is the principle of conservation of mass. "Matter is neither created nor destroyed, it only transforms."
Could it be that when we die, our energy goes elsewhere?
Just like that star that becomes a white dwarf or a black hole after collapsing. Could it be that we have a similar process?
We come from the universe, we are stardust. A way that the universe knows itself. I like to think that our energy becomes one with the universe. The concept of God, we'll explore in another chapter, but maybe that's the promised life. When we die we return to the creator, to the origin of everything. We return to the universe, we return to the stars.
This painting talks about the sacrifice of motherhood. The effort that my mother made for me and my sister until the last day. So I also dedicate these words to you mom, I send you a hug to the stars...
