I was fortunate enough to accompany my father to his portrait shoot with the legendary Peter Lindbergh, whom I admired so much. It was very exciting to watch him at work. I took many photos of Peter in action and they went up on the New York Times website. A couple of days later when I went back to his studio by the sea with Sarah Gadon, he asked if I knew who shot the images and when I told him it was me, he said he loved them and that he rarely liked looking at pictures of himself.
2012 Cannes Film Festival – For the first time in the festival’s history, a father and son, my father and brother, had films in competition the same year. The New York Times hired me to shoot a daily diary of the goings on at the festival between the two films, and I was given unprecedented access to places photographers aren’t usually allowed to go.
Un Certain Regard means "a certain glance" and is a section of the festival for films with unusual, non-traditional stories.
