There’s something about the ocean that makes us feel good. Maybe it’s the way the waves roll in. Or maybe it’s the salty sea breeze that fills our lungs. It’s interactive yet grounding, consistent yet creative. Yet it’s shared amongst us all. And that’s the coolest thing about the ocean. And water. The flow that let’s life flourish.
I’m happy to donate the proceeds from the auction of this piece to 25:35 Water through Frens Fest in an effort to help build clean water wells for the people in Uganda.
Because the wave hunt never ends. Which reminds me of this. Jumping into something you love and learning, letting art lead the way. Which leads us to the beach. A place that expresses the nature of reality, waves. It’s in those waves that I’m learning to grow, witness, and process life. The highs and lows, the many moods, and the changing tides. I love to focus and let go of the beautiful tension. These are the waves that light me up. And that’s what going swimming is about. Showing up every day to learn, create, and share that feeling with friends. We only get one life and waves are the perfect reminder of that. Happy to have these photos to show for it.
