The Oregon coast, a true representation of how breathtaking the PNW can be. But the PNW is known for 2 things, stunning landscapes, and rain. And rain is what we got on this day. As the massive storm rolled in so did I, camera in hand ready to capture the beauty and power that was to come. The pure force of the waves could be felt beneath my feet as I approached the cliffs.

As a climber and someone who has spent hours and hours in the mountains, heights don't scare me much anymore. But what does scare me is raging winds and rain while standing on the edge of an 80ft sea cliff with massive waves pounding below. The wind being the true danger in my mind.

Shooting this self-portrait really got my heart rate up. But I had a feeling the only way to capture the scale of this location was to have myself in frame. And as soon as I got back to my camera and saw the results, I knew all the fear and danger was well worth it.
