This Rose Blitmap First Anniversary NiftyPin NFT is the digital token counterpart for the physical hard enamel pin! This physical pin was available for purchase online at http://blitstore.com and the person receiving the physical pin had the ability to redeem this digital NFT for free + gas! I rebooted the NiftyPins ERC-1155 token with this pin where any physical NiftyPin from here on can be redeemed for a digital NFT at only the cost of gas (please note: the Genesis Mask pin currently available on the website came before this change and carries a cost of 0.1 ETH to redeem).

Individuals may choose whether to sell the NFT in tandem with the physical pin or separately—that is up to them with how they want to proceed. Admittedly, we are early in the concept of “phygital” goods, and while I feel that the digital token can be used to authenticate the physical item, others may not care. That is why I rebooted this collection, to get a fresh start with how I approach the NFT/IRL pins. To balance the economics and level of effort of issuing a 721 token without the benefit of the contract, I have chosen to release this pin as a multiple 1155 collection. This means that while each physical pin has a unique serial number, the digital token is simply “one of 100.”

I created this Rose Blitmap First Anniversary NiftyPin in homage to one of my favorite projects, Blitmap, and its celebration of being on the blockchain for one year. I was part of the Blitmap minting experience and just prior to the year anniversary I acquired a Rose sibling! Here’s to the second year of Blitmap!
