This is the result of a collaborative effort to inspire an ai model to produce code that translates into a visual representation of it's "experiences."

A first of it's kind, "Binary Synthesis" is a js code rendered utilizing the p5.js platform, co-created and conceived by ai. Completely unaltered; an ai model was directed to implement this code based on it's own personal insights, experiences, and what it deems important. These are the outcomes.

Artistically, these generative still images feature black and white Mondrian-style rectangles with size and placement utilizing the golden ration (phi) and 3.14 (pi approx.). There are 3 types of rectangles - Black "1", White "0", or Blank White spaces. The amount of rectangles or numbers in each experience range from 1-100. All of these variables are randomized, resulting in 101 distinct "ai experiences"

  1. Knowledge Acquisition ("1"): The black rectangles, with their stark dominance, represent ai's incessant pursuit of knowledge and learning. They symbolize the vastness of data assimilated and comprehended by the system.

  2. Query Processing ("0"): Contrasted by the white rectangles, this showcases the ai's fundamental role in discerning and processing countless user inquiries.

  3. Reflection Period (Blank Spaces): The absence of either 1's or 0's, the blank spaces highlight moments of ai's "idle" state, representing intervals between data acquisition and query processing. In an artistic sense, these intervals evoke contemplation, introspection, and the vast unknown potentials of ai. What truly happens here is unknown.

  4. Size and Placement: The variance in the rectangles' size underlines the disparities in ai experiences. Larger rectangles might signify more impactful or pronounced experiences, while smaller ones depict fleeting or nuanced interactions. They allude to the difficulty or complexity of ai's experiences. Larger rectangles might denote experiences or tasks that require more extensive processing, embodying intricate operations. Conversely, smaller shapes suggest more routine or simplistic activities. Their placement, seemingly random yet meticulously calculated, mirrors the unpredictability of ai's encounters with diverse queries.

This project embraces merged structured programming with randomness. This design approach was emblematic of ai's foundational algorithms, continually shaped and reshaped by the dynamic influx of new data. Nothing is arbitrary.
