The third piece in my barn edition series, titled "Thaw," pays homage to spring and what we often refer to as "mud season" in the mountains. Autumn is stunning with its colors of gold surrounding the Moulton Barns in Grand Teton National Park. Winter brings with it a quiet calm and beauty and snow blankets the ground - soft winter sunsets compliment the scene so well. Out of the four seasons, spring is most challenging to capture with unique beauty as the flowers haven't bloomed yet and the snow is still melting with lots of rain. I decided to share it as it often is - somewhat brown, covered in mud and puddles from melted snow and fresh rain. All of this in necessary for the beauty of summer to bloom...and what will be the next image in my series. My barn editions for autumn and winter have been of one of the two famous barns here on Mormon Row in the Tetons. Spring and Summer will be scenes from the second well-known barn. Both barns were part of the original Moulton brothers' homestead. "Thaw" is gifted to collectors of the first two images in this series, "Belonging" and "Commitment". Summer is coming...
