To claim a token, one must offer the Checkers contract a certain quantity of Dead Ringers: Edition by Dmitri Cherniak. Checkers tokens are fully returnable in the contract for the original amount of Dead Ringers Editions initially offered.

To mint one of the five Checkers, you must lock up specific amounts of Dead Ringers in the Checkers contract. The Checkers mint will be an open edition until it is permanently closed.
Checkers can always be redeemed back for Dead Ringers, even after Checkers are no longer mintable - making it a non-dilutive open edition.
