this piece started out about apartments, my knack for finding good spots with great views + starting anew. packing up each time with lessons learned — old + new. arriving to the next beginning with gratitude for the past, appreciation for the present + excitement for the future.

as I was making this collage, i started to feel stuck in the same lap. turning corners only to feel trapped. returning to start, then caught in the middle — tired, confused — too late to turn back. trying, yet failing to get through — hitting a wall before discovering a new avenue.

the avenue i created for myself. rediscovering how i got here — and remembering why i came back. it wasn’t to stay the same, follow a formula or replicate patterns of the past. it was being willing to go back to zero — because that's how you rebuild from scratch.
