this work represents the first on the subject of "galleries"
i have always had a natural appreciation for how art inspires awe. however, i never paid much attention to art history. true to form, i wasn't inspired to dive in until i felt intimidated.. in a room full of artists
at first, all i saw was what i didn't know and how "behind" i was vs the opportunity to discover + the space to grow
eventually, my apprehension and awkwardness (practice) compounded into confidence (experience)
in reflection, i suppose my way of finding my "fit" was seeing exhibitions as a place of study and curiosity — an ongoing research/interview assignment — what i have practice and experience with
remembering that what i am good at <> what i am interested in
honing in on strengths and letting go of weaknesses is an art. and being yourself is the best art
freeing energy to be present and experience always makes more of a lasting impression than what you know
