Bored. A tall tale of cyber apes Kinging

The Haiku style poem is written for the design to complement the minimalist approach to the derivative of Jika (bored apes)
The aesthetic draws elements from the continuous line drawings by Stacey Ravvero.
The short but powerful haiku is packed with layers of metaphors. The first line 'Bored' references the state of being and sets up a punchline on bored apes in the second verse.
The second verse contextualises the first line. It references the ambiguity surrounding bored ape NFT's and indeed the entire crypto art world.
The last line is a triple entendre that references King Kong, We The Kings Series from Stacey Ravvero's body of work and Kinging meaning winning or thriving.
Ape of Lagos is a 1/1 derivative collection of BAYC 2193 aka Jika inspired by the city’s landmarks and culture. The collection aims to onboard and spotlight African artists creating NFTs, on the Ethereum blockchain. The Lagos Ape is an artist-curated artist project.
