Originally the site of an old Buddhist monastery located within the City, the space has evolved to reflect the environment around it as Tokyo changed to form the dense metropolis that now sits beneath the Villa. Although no longer a monastery and located atop one of the tallest buildings in NeoTokyo, the Kikuchi Villa still pays homage to its religious roots, albeit in a hyper-modernized fashion.

Now home to the wealthy Kikuchi family, prominent in real estate development, the monastery has since been renovated into a neo-traditional two-story pagoda. Upon arriving at the Villa, entrants must first walk through a pagoda suspended over a small pond, where holographic lotus leaves appear to encase the structure's base. Clusters of lily pads and lotuses lie along the banks of the pond below, matching the pink projection of the flower at the base of the pagoda that symbolises the family's purity and longevity.

To the Villas rear lies a massive hologram of the seated Gautama Buddha, which as a family of practicing Buddhists for many generations, provides a place for the Kukuchi family to pray and meditate in the comfort of their home. Along with being a place of prayer, the Buddha is also a showing of the family's faith and is something they are proud to showcase to all in NeoTokyo.
