The church stands tall and catches the eye with its beautiful steeple pointing toward heaven. Everywhere you look, there are colours ablaze, as if they had been painted on for this very occasion; not one inch is overlooked in shades from reds to browns or gold during autumn's life cycle but never together! And behind those breathtaking snowy peaks lies something more than just beauty - gracefulness unparalleled among buildings I've seen before.

When I returned from Iceland, the white church and red roof photo were the first ones I had spent a lot of time with and edited. I was most proud of it and entered many online competitions. I won commendations from a national magazine and bronze in an international competition. It was runner-up in a monthly contest on a popular website. I also entered it in a local art show, which was well received by the community. Even though I've taken many photos since then, that one is still my favourite. It's a reminder of how beautiful Iceland is and how blessed I am to have been able to visit such a remarkable country.
