Ayla is one of the survivors of an ancient fairy descent. Gua Fairy Tribe, where Ayla comes from, is one of the several fairy tribes in the World of Mazes, one with strong allegiance to Princess Maya.
Ayla has been a merchant, selling ancient artifacts in dangerous Dark Mazes, but to become a merchant, she had to reject the traditional family path and go her own way. Coming from a family of brave warriors, Ayla was predestined to become a warrior like her family. Nevertheless, benefiting from a brave heart, she found the courage in herself to choose a different path; becoming a merchant instead of becoming a warrior.
Of course this wasn’t a simple decision. It took her many sleepless nights, struggling with the identity of who she was supposed to be vs. who she could become. Once she chose to become a merchant, the profession she loved, she found it easy to sell merchandise in the Dark Mazes, where it wasn’t a place for the faint-hearted and she had little competition.
