This piece represents learning to let go and let things flow. Some of us hold on tightly to a false sense of control, and when it is shattered, we feel broken. When we are forced to see that we cannot control everything, and sometimes almost nothing, we feel betrayed by ourselves and lose faith in who we thought we were. Sometimes we need to just go with the flow, learn, and understand that we truly cannot control everything.
This piece represents the fact that it can be scary to let go, even if we save face; if you feel that way, you're not alone. I've always tried to control everything around me; any loss of control would make me spiral down a very dark hole, and I've had to figure out a way around that. I have had to learn that it is okay to let things go, even when they are scary. I have had to learn (especially in this past year) that sometimes there is really nothing you can do but let go, take a deep breath, and let things flow.
