The title of this piece "Fire Tests Gold" was inspired by the Latin phrase "Ignis aurum probat" which was the motto of the Prometheus Society.
After losing everything I owned in a fire less than a week ago, I wanted to capture the bleak rage sudden calamities cause within us.
