Best known for his expressive portraits, David Rees is has been a gallery represented artist since 2014. His colourful oil paintings gained the attention of the UK’s largest publisher Washington Green, who showcased his original works along with limited edition prints in their Castle Fine Art galleries all over the country, including hosting several solo shows. Rees left the publisher in 2018 to gain more control over the direction of his work and has since worked with a number of galleries but now focuses primarily on the NFT marketplace.

Since 2021 he has been incorporating AI tools into his artistic process, exploring what it means to be an abstract figurative artist within this new technological landscape as well as building a dialogue between physical paintings and digital artworks. His practice focuses on the transformative nature of our Digital Identity which is inherent to how we interact on social media, Web3 and what will become the Metaverse.
