This artwork to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Harder They Come.
The artwork was meant to put a new spin on this iconic Jimmy Cliff pose with the two guns. I watched the movie and thought to myself “what if this was a woman”? Got really absorbed into the show and more things stood out. The broadcasting tower in the background represents Jimmy Cliff moving from country into town. He got a grand idea of what him being a “gunman/bad man” meant. This was mainly created by the media. Media played a huge role in the show. The banana trees in the background also depicts “country bredda coming to town”
The AR that pops out further immerses people in the painting.
