This work is based on photographs taken in my home instrument room, using photo-tracing techniques.

I struggled a lot with it because it is a style of composition that I don't usually do at all.

In Japan, five years ago, a drum magazine declared 10 October as 'Drum Day'. This was so designated because, from the drummer's point of view, it is a sequence of sticks, snare drums, sticks and floor toms.
This piece is a tribute to that anniversary.

Personally, I think the work is a taste of two things: the bold composition and the various small objects cluttering the room.

この作品は、私の自宅の楽器部屋で撮影した写真をベースに写真トレースの技法を用いて制作したものです。

私が普段全くやらないようなスタイルの構図の為非常に苦戦しました。

さて、日本では5年前にドラムの雑誌が「ドラムの日」として10月10日を記念日にしました。これはドラマーから見てスティック・スネアドラム・スティック・フロアタムという並びになることからそう定められました。
今回の作品は、その記念日にちなんだものです。

個人的には大胆な構図と、部屋に乱雑に置かれた様々な細かいものの2つを味わえる作品になったと思います。
