Street photography or taking photographs on the streets, is one the genres I am in love with. There are basically a couple reasons for it.

Dynamism. There is so much happening around you and you do not have control over. Humans, light, shadows are literally flowing and the challenge is to get into harmony with them. In time, you adopt to the dynamism and start to see things differently. You develop an eye, like a 6th sense of what's going to happen or what can happen around you. You choose your spot and wait for the creation.

Diversity. Streets are lively. So many different clothes, colors, objects and buildings are ready for you. Some move, some stay still and some change skin with the light. Endless combinations make it so exciting. Millions of shots to choose from. All you need is patience and a bit of luck.

In the end, what you create is based on what you are seeking for. Juxtaposition, decisive moments, minimalism, beauty or shadow play. Streets are your canvas.

That morning when I saw this black cat playing around the trash can by the sea, with the sun trying to show through the clouds from behind me, I just had a couple seconds to click the shutter.

There is always a beauty in even most crowded, most ordinary and most mundane places. Photography helps discover this hidden aesthetic and beautiful moment, generally invisible to naked eye. This is a collection of featured photographs of mine, chasing the hidden gems around the places I've been.
