Nevzat Yildirim was born in 1987 in Adapazari, Turkey. In 2010 he had graduated with honours from the Photography and Graphic Arts department of Fine Arts faculty of the Kocaeli University. The same year Nevzat was selected as a winner of the "Young Photographers Award" in the "Moon and Stars Project" organised in the U.S.A. by the American Turkish Society. His work is represented in the photo collection of one of the world's most prestigious museums in the States, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and in private collections. In 2015 Nevzat Yildirim obtained his MA degree from the Department of Photography of the Institute of Fine Arts at the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. Currently, He is doing PhD in Art and Design at Yıldız Technical University in İstanbul. He has received over 40 awards from national and international photography competitions. He has published three photobooks about his projects. Currently, artist works in Istanbul and London. He is represented by Albumen Gallery in London.

About this photograph:
Due to lack of water in Africa. There are many African’s people seeking water so as to use at their house drinking and cleaning in home. But it is not easy in order to have it and they efford to find it all the time. So Long time ago when I went to do some charity work for orphan children.I took this photo in Malawi in 2011 while i endeavored something for them i just saw this picture with her mom. it was unforget moment for me. Although İt's so common around the Africa so that carried water l did'nt see any baby carried water like that until now. Probably as a baby she just helped her mother as the best she did it.

Orphan Children
It is recorded that more than two hundred million children around the world from the Middle East to Africa and from Asia to Europe are left orphans due to wars, environmental issues, illnesses and other such reasons, and more than three million new orphans and abandoned children are added to this number every year. For these outstanding photo series the artist has done photography project without finding any financial support to done it with some charity. So that young artist has been visiting countries such as Malawi, South Africa, Iraq, Yemen, Uganda, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Thailand and Sudan, and stayed in these countries for at least one week respectively. Nevzat Yildirim tried to feel the spirits and lives of these children while playing games in orphanages and staying under the same roof with these abandoned children in some countries.
