Lonely places is a reflection of ourselves of being on our own. I always thought being lonely was the worst thing in the world, and I wanted to create a collection of illustrations that reflected this feeling. The images act to convey lonliness but also solitude. The ghost is a reflection of you, of me, of us all and the ways we move through the world. In the 21st century there is such a drive to be social both in person and online, however there's never been a lesson on how to be comfy alone. The truth is, that sometimes being alone isn't comfy, but that's exactly what lonely places attempts to convey the discomfort, the peace, the anguish, the self-reflection. Being lonely doesn't have to be a bad thing, or at least that's what i'm coming to learn.
