The Backstory:
I have always loved animals and they are a part of my life.
Sometimes I dream of beautiful creatures that take shape in different forms. Some of them are a combination of different animals into one being, showing off individual traits but fused into one whole.
In this piece, I was just intuitively taking a stab at figurative abstract/naive art. It came from a pen doodling session and I decided to make it permanent with canvas and paint.

This is a serie of paintings that I did from the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown beginning March 2020.
During this period, I have just shuttered by technology startup company which nearly bankrupted my family. It marked the end of the nightmare decade of trying to stay afloat, whilst bringing up my 3 toddlers.
I had just started another company and business has been good. For the first time since the birth of my first child, our family could finally afford proper meals in decent eateries and life has become a little better.
As you may also notice, the new works have also taken on their new style which has more definition, positive, contrasts and colorful.
I have also begun to love the styles of Picasso and more contemporary art legends like Warhol and Basquiat. You will see some of the strokes and compositions from them in my new stuffs.
