In school, we're often taught about scientific formulae as if they're the golden design upon which the universe operates. The schematic is unfurled, the universe frowns and ponders for a moment, nods its head, and says something to the effect of "all right, that's how I'll do it".
This isn't how things actually are. Our equations describe what we see, but they don't dictate how things actually are. They're great predictors, but we've seen time and again that the universe has tricks up its sleeves, and great theories get wrecked and revised again and again.
The mathematics behind the curtain, however, lives in an entirely different place. Proofs are pure and consistent, and as long as spaces are well-defined, the equations will hold. If I were planning out the next universe, I'd make it more like math-like.

This collection of vibrant images is at its heart an exploration of change. From the moment we first open our eyes, change is inevitable. Change isn't just a part of life; it's life itself. We see this fact echoed in nature each year: green canopies erupt into colorful palettes of yellow, red, and orange; the leaves' hues traverse the color spectrum toward a finish line of muted browns. The trees shed their coats, changing form to prepare for the long winter ahead.
Similar changes happen in all our lives as we go along; they're also evident in my photography portfolio, which stretches back almost 20 years. Old habits fade, new skills flourish, and the result is a woven tapestry of self-improvement. In this collection, I've gathered an eclectic mix of fall photos (it's my favorite season, after all), ranging from my earliest snaps to my most recent work. Wide panoramas, macro shots, long exposure waterfalls, astrophotography... They're all a part of my photographic journey!
