Complimenting the first piece acquired from the "A Cluster of Stars" 16 piece collection is this 1/1 time-lapse.
Startrails is an image comprised of 700 individual photographs to showcase the movement of stars at the south celestial pole. Using the same images I have processed them into an accumulative time-lapse followed by a sequential time-lapse.
The night sky can be showcased in various forms to create a piece of art. This is a medium that best illustrates the stars moving across the sky as the earth spins.
In the second time-lapse you can see the faint Milky Way band and 2 nearby galaxies which appear as white clouds. They are called the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) and Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC).
This small release is a collection of live footage of the Milky Way and meteors captured using advanced equipment.
Never has it been possible to record the faint light of the Milky Way in detail.. This is rare footage pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved with light sensitive equipment. I have never released these pieces before until now.
This is a project I have worked on since 2017 will varying results. I tested various equipment, techniques and setting before achieving moderate results. Then I had to consider atmospheric conditions, moon phases, timing, altitude and locations to collect quality data to process.
These are the airdrops for collectors of "A Cluster of Stars", a small 16 piece collection by multi-award winning Milky Way Landscape Photographer David Magro. The Collectors Edition showcases the night sky taking you on a journey as an astrophotographer.
Additionally, the first collector will receive a 1/1 airdrop of the time-lapse edition of "Startrails".
